But it doesn't mean I don't like to return from time to time. :)Petrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04105257413922668294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6600022529355932646.post-8831641848118092432013-12-18T10:34:56.690+00:002013-12-18T10:34:56.690+00:00In my experience, they are. I can understand not wanting to spend too long dwelling on his books (although I'm clearly a gloomy soul myself, because I can tolerate it ;) )Matthew Selwynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00723650905588749638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6600022529355932646.post-86119923060489130762013-10-04T11:53:26.824+01:002013-10-04T11:53:26.824+01:00I think all his books are very dark and gloomy, an...I think all his books are very dark and gloomy, and full of despair and decay. I've only read A Burnt Out Case and have seen The Third Man, but he's able to capture the suffering of his characters very well. Nothing I'd love to read all the time, but definitely something that leaves an impression.Petrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04105257413922668294noreply@blogger.com
