UK Bestsellers: December 2011
So Christmas 2011 has come and gone, turkey has been devoured and presents have been unwrapped; so which books were the most sought after this year? Well, unsurprisingly the cook books continued to sell well as up and down the land people aspired to culinary perfection for at least one day of the year, interestingly it was Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's vegetarian cook book that won the race to be no.1 this Christmas - presumably turkey was out this year, and nut loaf was in? No surprise in the ever-popular gift categories though, with Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs topping the biography charts, and the book accompanying the epic Frozen Planet series proving a winner in the luxury non-fiction category. For the kids a choice between Jeff Kinney and David Walliams - although surely there can't be a kid anywhere that hasn't read the entire Diary of a Wimpy Kid series at least seventeen times already!
